In our house, there are always rooms that need more cleaning than others. The room that requires thorough daily cleaning is undoubtedly the bathroom. Here are 4 simple tips to easily clean the bathroom, so that you always have it clean, fragrant and ready to welcome your guests. The first advice is not to wait to go to the toilet 3 or 4 times before flushing the toilet. If you really want to save, try doing so on other things. The mop is next to the toilet for a reason, so it’s important to use it every time you throw the water away, to optimize the cleaning of the toilet walls.
As a second tip, I suggest using a winning combination, i.e. baking soda and vinegar. These two foods have the extraordinary ability to neutralize stains (even the most stubborn ones) and whiten your toilet. The procedure is simple, just put the baking soda on the offending stains and shortly after pour the vinegar over it, let the mixture sit for at least 20 minutes then use the mop vigorously to remove any residue. If this is not enough for you and you also want your toilet to have a pleasant scent reminiscent of lemon, you can count on another couple of elements, consisting of borax and lemon juice, believe me, you will not regret it not. Here’s how.
Create a mixture of borax and lemon juice and run it gently over the toughest stains and encrustations on your toilet, after which let it sit for at least half an hour and when the time is up, scrub the entire surface with the brush. Remember that, however, each compound to be effective, must also come with an additional ingredient, i.e. elbow grease is the additional ingredient. But now let’s move on to the difficult method.
It can also happen that the methods I have advocated so far fail (very unlikely), probably because the stains you have to deal with date back a long time, at least a few weeks. In this case, a valid alternative is to use pumice stone (I am referring to the one you use to take care of your feet). Simply wipe down with toilet detergent or to get a good smell of simple lemon juice and rub vigorously into the toughest stains. Finally, you just need to flush the toilet and give the final blow by pouring in about half a bottle of 1.5 cokes.
