According to Games Radar, director Ari Aster (“Hereditary”, “Midsommar”) is working on a new horror film A24.
Still untitled or premiered, the feature film is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Michael R. Jackson.
For those unfamiliar with him, Jackson has already won several awards and critically acclaimed Broadway plays and is considered one of “Today’s Most Talented Black Screenwriters” by The New York Times.
In addition to being responsible for the acclaimed play “A Strange Loop”, Jackson is working on a new musical, called “White Girl in Danger”, whose plot is inspired by classic soap operas and movies of the 90s.
As of yet, there are still no details on the new horror partnered with Aster, as production is still in its early stages.
However, given Aster’s work in her early films, everything indicates that the film promises to have a load of psychological horror with uncomfortable silences and scenes strong enough to warrant an over 18 rating.
Recalling that the director’s next job is ‘Disappointment Blvd’.

The most recent news regarding the feature film has been the addition of four other cast members: Amy Ryan, Kylie Rogers and Broadway legends Nathan Lane and Patti LuPone.
Details of their roles have not been disclosed.
The group join previously announced Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix for his portrayal in “The Joker.”
The story is described as a “multigenerational portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time”.
A24 will oversee the project. No other information was revealed.
Phoenix is known for a number of well-known roles in film and television. His main works include “Gladiator”, “Walk the Line”, “The Master” (receiving three Oscar nominations for his performance), as well as the recent “The Joker” which earned him an Academy statuette, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a Critics’ Choice Award and a SAG Award for Best Actor.
Aster, meanwhile, revived the genre of psychological horror with the famous “Hereditary”, which marked her directorial debut. Along with Toni Collette and Alex Wolff, the work won several awards. ‘Midsommar’, his second feature film, enjoyed the same critical and commercial success and was played by Florence Pugh.
