According to Deadline, Henry Cavill (“Man of Steel”) will star in the spy thriller “The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” which will be directed by Guy Ritchie (live-action “Aladdin”).
The production will mark the reunion of the duo, who previously worked together on “The Man from UNCLE” (2015). Cavill will play the leader of a secret combat organization.
Eiza González (“Em Ritmo de Fuga”) will also star in the project. The actress will play a sniper with incredible spy skills.
The plot, inspired by real events, will follow a secret World War II combat organization. The underground Nazi squad’s unconventional and utterly “mean” fighting techniques helped turn the tide of the war and, in part, gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit.
Initially, the project was being developed by Paramount Pictures through an agreement with producer Jerry Bruckheimer, but the studio will not be responsible for distributing the feature film.

Ritchie and Arash Amel are writing the screenplay, which will be based on the book of the same name by Damien Lewis.
Filming is expected to begin in January in Turkey.
