Donald Trump officially announced his third run for the White House, with a speech that lasted about an hour from his Mar-a-Lago residence.

“America’s comeback begins today”, he began, before boasting of his successes and blaming current US President Joe Biden for a country “in decline, humiliated and ridiculed on the international scene”. , from the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan to the war in Ukraine, which Trump says is bringing the United States “to the brink of nuclear war”.
Trump: ‘Biden ruined America’
“Just today a missile was sent, probably from Russia, to the Polish border. People have gone mad and angry and we have a president falling asleep at international summits,” he attacked. Joe Biden quickly responded with a tweet directly from Bali: “Donald Trump has ruined America”.
The most important moment of the speech was the announcement of his candidacy in 2024, having already submitted the documents to the Federal Election Commission. “To make America great and glorious again, tonight I announce my candidacy for President of the United States.”
“Biden won’t be four yet,” he added, assuring that “by election day, I will fight like no one else before and we will defeat the radical Democratic left that is trying to destroy our inland country”.

Trump also singled out Biden for inflation, migrants and the war in Ukraine that “wouldn’t have happened” with him, vowing to keep America “out of any war”.
Trump: ‘I am more persecuted than Al Capone’
In addition to recalling the 232 victories of his Midterm candidates against 22 defeats, Trump presented himself as “a victim” of the investigations and mocked for having the “record” of subpoenas, defining himself as more persecuted than Al Capone.
His daughter Ivanka Trump has already made it clear that she will not be involved in politics this time around and that she will put her family first.
