‘Hawk and the Winter Soldier’: Marvel Studios has big plans for Julia Louis-Dreyfus at the MCU

The series ‘Falcão and the Winter Soldier’ has already ended its journey and introduced us to a new character, lived by acclaimed actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

In the plot, she brings Countess Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine to life, who is ready to help war veteran John Walker after the murder in the public square of one of the members of the Stateless group.

And according to producers Nate Moore and Zoie Nagelhout, the character’s trajectory is far from over. During a recent interview (via EW), they revealed that Marvel Studios had some grandiose plans for her.

When asked if the goal would be to expand the role of Countess Valentina, Moore insisted it was “100% certainty.”

Additionally, Moore pointed out that the actress herself made it clear that she wanted to be a part of the MCU:

“She is so talented and you can do so much with her. And she wants to be inside the parade. She certainly did not come to tell us: “I will be in only one series, only once”. She said: ‘I want to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And we said, “Great! We’ll get you set up and find out how to use you. And the truth is, I believe you will see it in the future. Absolutely”.

For those who are not familiar, Fontaine first appeared in the Marvel anthology comic titled ‘Strange Tales’, and played an important role as a sleeping Russian agent who helps Nick Fury defeat HYDRA. .

It is not yet clear what her role will be in the new MCU projects, but it should be remembered that in the comics she is also known as Madame Hydra after betraying SHIELD and revealing herself as a triple agent. .

It is later revealed that his loyalty belongs to the organization as Leviathan, a Russian spy agency competing with both SHIELD and HYDRA.

Considering that HYDRA has already fallen, it could have some connection with SWORD, the secret organization introduced in “WandaVision”.

Either way, her shocking appearance will have an impact on the MCU, otherwise Marvel probably wouldn’t hire one of the best Hollywood actresses in the MCU without an overall plan, but we have to wait and see what it all means.
