‘Hawk and the Winter Soldier’: Anthony Mackie shares his son’s reaction to Captain America’s announcement

The latest episode of “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” became a worldwide hit, primarily for crowning star Anthony Mackie as the new and first black Captain America.

And the character’s new performer shared his son’s cute reaction when he heard the news. During an interview with Vanity Fair, Mackie revealed a clip of her conversation with him, saying that she even cried emotionally at the little boy’s reaction.

“He called me excited and said, ‘Daddy, you’re Captain America!’ And I said, “yes man”. And he said, “I didn’t know, I’m so proud of you.” And that’s when I started crying: “Are you proud of me?” He said yes and that was it!

Remembering that Mackie will reprise his role in “Captain America 4.”

Still without a premiere date, the film will be directed by Malcolm Spellman, showrunner of “Falcão and the Winter Soldier”.
