Harry’s biography gives the title of what he’s talking about
The Duke of Sussex’s memoir will be published on January 10. His publisher Penguin Random House said so. Prince Harry’s book will be titled Spare and will include a full account of the events that led him to come to terms with his decision to give up his royal duties and move to the United States. A bombshell book that could cast new shadows on the English royal family.
The moment is certainly not propitious since Charles has recently acceded to the throne and relations are very tense between the two parties. Random House said: “As Diana, Princess of Wales was laid to rest, billions of people wondered what princes should think and feel and how their lives would unfold… For Harry, it’s finally her story .”
The premise doesn’t seem to announce anything cautious, and Prince Harry himself seemed willing to edit some chapters before printing. Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace said it would not comment on the book announcement. Part of the proceeds from the prince’s autobiography will however be used for charitable purposes and will be donated to UK charities including Sentebale and WellChild.
Prince Harry’s autobiography promises to be a bestseller
It therefore lacks the first autobiography of Prince Harry, which is already announced as a guaranteed bestseller. The book promises “raw and unwavering honesty” and the cover shows a chilling-looking Prince Harry. But the same book must be able to keep the balance between the Sussex family and the English crown unchanged. When the deal was announced in 2021, Prince Harry promised it would reflect “highs and lows” and be “accurate and totally true”. The official statement with which the publishing house announced the publication of the autobiography reads as follows: “Spare immediately brings readers back to one of the most searing images of the 20th century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin with the world watched in pain and horror”.
An image that immediately brings us back to the ordeal of Princess Diana’s funeral, and which promises to investigate a difficult and intimate moment in Harry’s life. The book will be released on the same date – January 10 – worldwide and will be available in 16 languages. The audio edition of the book is read by Prince Harry himself.
