“Harry Potter” has become one of the most famous and successful literary and cinematic sagas of all time, and in 2022 the second film adaptation of the magical universe turns twenty years old.
To celebrate this anniversary, Warner Bros. will release the film “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” in national theaters on November 26, 2022.
Launched in 2002, the production, which returns Chris Columbus to the director’s chair, brings Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) back to his aunt and uncle – until he receives an unexpected visit from Dobby, a house-elf, come to warn him not to go back to Hogwarts school of magic, because he would be in great danger there.
Harry does not listen to him and decides to go back to his studies, faced with a 2nd year full of novelties. One is the hiring of new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Gilderoy Lockhart (Kenneth Branagh), who is considered a big crush and doesn’t miss an opportunity for personal marketing. However, Dobby’s warning is confirmed and soon all of Hogwarts is embroiled in a mystery that results in the appearance of petrified students.
Starring Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reprising their roles as Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, respectively, the film became a critical and commercial success, grossing nearly $890 million worldwide and earning three Oscar nominations.
