So Giorgia Meloni reiterated the centre-right line as the days of the Quirinal consultation approach. The Chambers will take office on Thursday 13 October, while the groups will be formed between 17 and 18 October. After that, the word will pass to Sergio Mattarella, who will be responsible for handing the task over to the new government.

The new government will be born after the European Council

On October 20 and 21, Mario Draghi will again represent Italy in Brussels, on the occasion of the European Energy Council. Rumor has it that the government is swearing by this crucial meeting. Meloni expects to wrap up the match by Monday, October 24.

To confirm this, also Antonio Tajani, national coordinator of Forza Italia: “I believe that the new government will be born after the European Council of 20. The presidents of the chambers will soon be chosen

We will need a new three-way showdown which may take place today, Tuesday, October 11. The first boxes should be filled between Thursday and Friday, with the election of the presidents of the chambers. Fratelli d’Italia has appointed Ignazio La Russa to the Senate, while Montecitorio will go to the League, with Riccardo Molinari preferred to Giancarlo Giorgetti. The latter, according to rumors, could become the card of the center-right at the regional level in Lombardy.

His name also circulates for the Mef, even if this hypothesis would end up reducing the claims of the League. The target is a technician and Meloni focuses on Fabio Panetta.

However, within FdI, there would be doubts about the idea of ​​replacing him at the head of the CDP, in a fundamental moment for the takeover of Tim’s unique network.
