Google is saying a sad goodbye to a feature that will be canceled very soon, on November 21, 2022. Here’s what it is and what the alternative is from the same Silicon Valley company.

For some time, Google had been trying to replace the competing application, which reported several malfunctions and therefore found users already predisposed to change. Android Auto had disappeared from all Android smartphones by the end of 2019, remaining only available for cars. Google had indeed announced important news.

The Silicon Valley company had bet heavily on the Google Auto Assistant mobile application, which Huawei immediately promised to do battle with by launching the Maps Kit on the market. These solutions, unlike the same Google Maps, Waze and Here We Go Navigation, promised to include several services in addition to driving directions.

Unfortunately, it would seem that Google only decided after three years to also put the Google Auto Assistant project aside. As has already happened for Android Auto, users will be informed by a pop-up informing them of the definitive discontinuation of the service from November 21, 2022.
