‘Good Night, Mom’: Naomi Watts to star in Amazon remake
According to Variety, Naomi Watts (“The Call“) will star in the remake of the acclaimed thriller “Boa Noite, Mamãe”, developed by Amazon Studios.
Watts will also be the executive producer of the project alongside the directors of the original feature, Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz.
Matt Sobel will direct and Kyle Warren will be responsible for the script.
In the plot…
“Elias and his twin brother Lukas arrive at his house and find her face covered in strips – the result,” she explains, of a recent operation. As Lukas is taken aback by the unusual rules of the house, Elias develops a sinister suspicion: what if the woman under the bands, who feeds them and who sleeps in the next room, isn’t really his mother?
Released in 2014, the original has an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
