In an article published by the New York Times, Sony executives explained that they were focusing on planning the film adaptations of the “Uncharted” franchise.
And the adaptation of “The Last of Us” will be their big bet for television, because of that, they have no plans to invest in a live-action version of “God of War”.
However, they do recognize that the franchise has potential and could see a successful adaptation in the future, but that’s not something Sony is planning for the next five or ten years.
