A really difficult edition to manage and contain for Alfonso Signorini. But despite all the chaos generated from the first episodes, the GF Vip 7 is not very popular with the public, as auditel data says.
Last Thursday, in fact, the reality TV show Canale 5 clearly lost the challenge of sharing in prime time with the fictional Rai Imma Tataranni – Deputy Prosecutor. Data that could lead to a drastic decision at Mediaset.
Farewell to the weekly double episode of GF Vip 7: the reason is not about sharing
Yet there is no share or viewership behind Canale 5’s drastic decision to not air two more live episodes of reality TV a week.
Right now, GF Vip 7 is airing 24/7 on ad-hoc channels, while flagship network Mediaset airs the episode live from the studio on Mondays and Thursdays in prime time. But it seems that one of these two events will be canceled in the coming weeks.
It is not the fault of sharing, but of another event that Mediaset wants to face with dignity. Namely the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which will start after mid-November, so in about a month. 
The exclusive broadcast of the World Cup matches will be Rai, which has acquired the reproduction rights for this important and very popular tournament, unlike the 2018 edition which instead went to Mediaset.
Although the Italian national team is unfortunately not in attendance, Mediaset has chosen to cut one episode per week from GF Vip 7 to avoid clear and obvious setbacks, given that the world championship is always an event seen and followed by the Italians. It’s not official yet, but from November it’s likely that only the Monday broadcast on Channel 5 will be maintained.
