“Those who agree with the majority are the same ones who accuse us of wanting seats. I am just saying that the institutional agreements must guarantee all minorities”. Thus Matteo Renzi in his newsletter.
“If Pd and Cinque Stelle prevented us from entering, it would be an act of unprecedented gravity, an act that we should immediately bring to the attention of the President of the Republic”, adds the senator from Italia Viva.
Calenda’s words
His remarks are linked to what Carlo Calenda said yesterday, when on Rai Tre, at the microphones of Fabio Fazio at Che Tempo che fa, he said: “I believe that there is an agreement for the vice-presidents who this moment excludes us completely”.
“On the committees, I only hope that the parliamentary committee on the Covid is done. And then we will see… bad ones,” adds Renzi.
Boccia (Pd) responds to Renzi: “It’s a fake”
The Democratic Party’s response came swiftly from Francesco Boccia, head of local authorities, who told Sky: “Third Pole accusations? It is a fake, Renzi says fake, there is no desire to exclude anyone, each party has the numbers to elect its own representatives”. And again: “If with 4.5% of the senators, the Third Pole demands a vice-presidency of the Senate, which would go to one of the largest groups, it will agree with me…”.
“The numbers are the same,” added Boccia, pointing out that the Third Pole will be able to have representation in the Offices of the Presidency, but may not be able to express vice-presidents. According to the Dem, Renzi is implementing “a parliamentary tactic that leads elsewhere… his objective is perhaps other appointments that we will have in the coming weeks”.
Finally, Boccia concludes: “I have read that he is proposing commissions of inquiry, he is no doubt thinking of reviving the debate now”.
