Amici will again pay tribute to Michèle Merlo, who died of fulminant leukemia on June 6, 2021. Here’s what’s in the works and when the public will be able to see it: one of the youngest students was in the game.
Amici’s day on October 21 gave Mediaset viewers many emotions. Maria De Filippi informed Cricca of an envelope for him. The blue color immediately suggested to all the students that it was a communication from Rudy Zerbi. Everyone started sweating for fear of a new task, especially Clique.

Rudy Zerbi’s letter immediately hinted that there were different reasons behind the assignment of an additional task. The professor explained that he wanted to “raise the bar” to make Cricca make “a new qualitative leap”. When he arrived in the rehearsal room, the 17-year-old dancer was visibly afraid of what awaited him.

Waiting for Cricca in the rehearsal room were Elena D’Amario and Francesco Porcelluzzi. The two immediately explained that they were preparing a very special choreography for the October 23 episode which will be dedicated to Mike Bird. Clique nodded to remember who the singer was, explaining that he was very upset by his sudden death.

Clique explained that he felt a bit of a special responsibility to have been called upon to play Farfalle. The dancer will therefore be called upon to reflect the sensitivity of the deceased singer in his interpretation. To help with his performance, they also showed him a video summarizing his experience at Amici.
“He is not gone, he still lives in hearts”: the words of Cricca
Mike Bird, stage name of Michele Merlo, died of fulminant leukemia on June 6, 2021. At the end of this summer, a bitter truth emerged, which many had already guessed after the first details of his sudden death. An expertise organized by the Vicenza investigating judge reviewed what happened to the singer. Amici 22, a few days before his death, Mike Bird (Michele Merlo) recorded the song Farfalle, then released on May 25, 2022 (Instagram photo).
The super-expert’s conclusions would be that Mike Bird could have been saved if the GP had realized that the huge hematoma on his leg was a symptom of leukemia and not just a bruise. Specifically, the chances of saving the singer from Amici would have been between 79% and 86%.
