Apple TV+ has released a new promotional video for “Five Days at Memorial,” a series based on the tragedy caused by Hurricane Katrina.
The featurette takes us behind the scenes of the production and reveals details about how this tragic story came to life.
Production is scheduled for August 12 on the streaming platform.

Created by John Ridley (“12 Years a Slave”) and Carlton Cuse (“Lost”), the miniseries revolves around the first five days after Hurricane Katrina caused destruction at a New Orleans hospital.
Ridley and Cuse are also joining as writers, executive producers, and directors.
Robert Pine, Cherry Jones, Julie Ann Emery, Cornelius Smith Jr., Adepero Oduye, Molly Hager, Michael Gaston and W. Earl Brown round out the cast.
The production is based on the nonfiction novel “Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital” by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink.
