According to Deadline, Netflix has struck a massive deal with STXfilms and acquired the worldwide viewing rights to the upcoming action thriller “Fast & Loose,” starring Will Smith.
David Leitch (‘Deadpool 2’) enters as director, with a screenplay signed by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber (duo behind ‘Red – Retired and Dangerous’).
Smith will bring John Riley to life, a man who wakes up in Tijuana City after being left for dead without knowing who he was.
As he follows the clues to his identity and what happened to his memory, he finds himself living a double life: one of a successful drug dealer surrounded by beautiful women, cars and prestige. And the other as a secret agent of the CIA, without wife, family or friends, and poorly paid.
Throughout his discoveries, the biggest dilemma is that he doesn’t know which of them is his true identity.
Remember, Leitch is also known for his work on “Hobbs and Shaw,” which grossed over $ 750 million at the global box office. He also directed the action ‘Atomic’, starring Charlize Theron, and was responsible for the first installment of the ‘John Wick’ franchise alongside Chad Stahelski.
