Bad news for the prequel to the successful Harry Potter saga, we are talking about Fantastic Beasts also written by JK Rowling. Apparently, there would be big question marks over whether or not the fourth film will be released.
The Harry Potter saga was a worldwide success, which continues to this day to have the same popularity rating among new generations. For the uninitiated, the story of the most beloved wizard of all time, written by JK Rowling, has a prequel spinoff, Fantastic Beasts.

The Fantastic Beasts fantasy film series is inspired by the detailed manual, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, also written by Rowling. While the first two films were overall a good success, the third on the other hand, perhaps also because of the Covid, received a mixed approval rating from both critics and fans. For this reason, the future of the fourth and fifth chapters that would have concluded the saga is uncertain.
We hoped for the success of Harry Potter
The mistake probably made by both the producers and the fans was to have too many expectations on this saga. Everyone thought (hoped) that it could achieve worldwide success like the Harry Potter saga. But ultimately it never was. For this reason, it’s no surprise that the producers consider leaving the story in the middle without giving it the ending it deserves. There’s no point investing in something you don’t like, even if many fans don’t think so.
For the uninitiated, the Fantastic Beasts saga takes place in a shared universe but different from that in which Harry Potter takes place. We are about 60 years behind the birth of the bespectacled wizard. In this reality, magizoologist Newt Scamander travels the world in search of all the magical creatures he can find to study their powers. During his stages he will live many adventures and together with his friend Albus Dumbledore they will try to defeat the powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald.
There’s no money to put it bluntly
The reason why the fourth and fifth chapters of the Fantastic Beasts saga written by JK Rowling, prequel to Harry Potter, may never see the light of day, is not only related to critical issues. First, there would be no funds.

The Pandemic has brought everyone to their knees a bit, so before launching headlong into a project, which may not have the expected success, the producers think about it more than well. In addition to these facets, we also remember that the Johnny Depp scandal and Rowling’s transphobic remarks certainly did not help.
To know if the saga will continue or not, we will have to wait for a possible denial or confirmation on this subject, because for the moment these are only rumors.
