Mads Mikkelsen (‘Doctor Strange’), who replaced Johnny Depp in ‘Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’, says he doesn’t mind seeing the actor reprise the role of main villain in the latest spin-off of ‘Harry Potter’.

“It was a daunting situation. Obviously, well, there’s been a change of direction now that the process issue is resolved. Let’s see if he comes back. He might. I’m a big Johnny fan. C he’s an amazing actor, and I think he’s done a fantastic job on the franchise,” Mikkelsen said.

Who went on to say, “Having said that, at no time did I consider copying it. There was no way I could copy it, because it’s something very personal. It would be suicide creative. So we had to invent something else, something that was mine, and build a bridge between that version and mine.

David Yates (“The Legend of Tarzan”) returns to direct.

Several years after the tragic events of “The Crimes of Grindelwald”, Newt Scamander becomes embroiled in a new plot that will take him to Rio de Janeiro and Berlin, in addition to the Wizarding World’s involvement with World War II.

The cast includes Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, William Nadylam, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Victoria Yeates, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Fiona Glascott, Katherine Waterston, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Richard Coyle and Oliver Masucci . .

Actor Johnny Depp, who played the character Gellert Grindelwald in the first two films, has been pulled from production after allegations of domestic abuse. He was then replaced by Mads Mikkelsen.

And in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mikkelsen spoke about that change and how the whole process went: “It was pretty chaotic.” According to him, the producers only gave the actor two days to decide whether or not to play the villain.

“You don’t want to copy anything Depp was doing – that would be creative suicide. Even if the paper is perfectly done, you want to own it. But he still has to make some sort of connection between what came before,” commented Mikkelsen.

Recalling that Johnny Depp has already been a controversial choice since he was chosen to play Grindelwald, replaced by controversies linked to his troubled divorce and serious accusations leveled against him by the actor’s ex-wife, also an actress Amber Heard.

Among many complaints, Heard reports that the first scenes of violence took place in 2015, in Australia, during the filming of the fifth film ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’. The defense points out that Johnny Depp became a monster when he used drugs mixed with cocktails of alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy and magic mushrooms – where the actress posted a video of this moment.

At the time, Amber claimed Johnny “violently attacked” her and threw a phone in her face with “extreme force”. The actor denied the abuse.

A few days before the trial, the former couple posted a note saying they had resolved the case. “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always based on love. Neither party made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent to physically or emotionally harm,” they said.

Mads Mikkelsen has a career with several prominent roles, such as ‘007: Casino Royale’, ‘The Hunt’ and the ‘Hannibal’ series.

“Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets” follows the adventures of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who, along with his allies, is assigned by Dumbledore (Jude Law) to investigate the growing army of the dark wizard Grindelwald.
