As we know, Netflix decided to bet on the gaming industry and less than a year ago started offering games on its platform. However, the company of the world leader in streaming does not seem to have fallen into the taste of its customers.
According to data from digital services consultancy Apptopia, less than 1% of Netflix users regularly use the games listed on the platform. The titles have been streaming since November 2021.
Recall that Netflix has approximately 221 million subscribers and has recorded a drop in the number of customers in recent months. Yet the platform’s games have been downloaded 23.3 million times and only 1.7 million use it daily.
The company hopes the games will help make the service more appealing to subscribers. One of the objectives of streaming was to keep customers subscribing to games while waiting for new series, films or documentaries.
Even with very low indicators, Netflix seems to continue to invest in its games. Something that can increase the numbers are the integrations with the content of the series and films present on the platform through the launch of thematic titles.
