The “ Hawk and the Winter Soldier ” series is drawing to a close, and one of the biggest questions for fans is precisely who will take – definitely – the responsibility left by Captain America.
And with John Walker taking on the hero form in the production’s first episode, maintaining a friendly relationship with the two namesake Avengers just got even more complicated.
But for actor Wyatt Russell, what makes the dynamic between the three characters so fun is exactly the humor behind his character’s desire to befriend both Bucky and Sam.
In an EXCLUSIVE interview with our reporter Rafa Gomes, from CinePOP, he commented on the topic:
“I think the humor comes from the fact that he really wants to be friends with them. He truly respects what they’ve done and strives to earn the respect of both of them. He wants to work with them. And he’s good at being Captain America – he can do the job well, but he needs their support. And we had a lot of fun finding some areas where he’s just this boring guy. He has terrible timing ”.
Russell also commented on the opportunity to work side by side with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan:
Enjoy watching:
“Anthony [Mackie] and Sébastien [Stan] are amazing. They are wonderful! It’s fun to be able to do scenes with really good people who understand this world. They are fantastic actors, which is part of the magic. I couldn’t imagine a better experience, really.
The star also revealed what motivated him to join the show:
“I am drawn to characters who need to make tough decisions. His dichotomies are what drew me to him, and I was free to shape him a bit – because we’ve never met this character before. At the end of the day, he has fun with a bow. You can go to a million different places and I think that’s what you’re looking for in a role. “
It should be remembered that the 5th episode of “Falcão and the Winter Soldier” will be released next Friday (16), on the Disney + platform.
After the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, Sam Wilson / Falcon and Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier team up on a global adventure that tests their skills – and patience – in ‘Hawk and Winter Soldier’.
Besides Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, the cast also includes Daniel Bruh, Emily VanCamp and Noah Mills.
American television veteran Kari Skogland will be responsible for directing all six episodes of the new series.
She is known for her work on “The Walking Dead”, “Fear the Walking Dead” and the famous series “The Handmaid’s Tale”.
