Excellent work by the ASTROS of ‘The Boys’ in the film and the series

The series The Boys, available on Prime Video, is undoubtedly one of the most critically and publicly acclaimed projects in recent years. The story, based on a comic book written by duo Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, follows superheroes who have a sinister side when out of the spotlight, use their powers for mayhem, come into conflict with a group whose main objective is to stop their actions. A curiosity, the leaders of the two groups that form in the plot are interpreted by two New Zealand actors.

The cast of this series is wonderful and with a great job already seen in other projects. But since some faces are unknown to most audiences, here are some great works by some ‘The Boys’ artists from film and TV:

Karl Urban (Billy Butcher)

New Zealander Karl Urban is one of the most recognizable faces on the show. His first acting role came at the age of eight and over the years he appeared in many local TV commercials as well as theater roles while still in New Zealand. In 2002, his career took off when he landed the role of Éomer in The Lord of the Rings – The Two Towers.
