The show centers on Alex Rider, a young man from London who gets recruited by MI6’s Department of Special Operations. His mission is to sneak into a reform school that the ultra-wealthy send their misbehaving kids to.

In the first season, Alex succeeds in exposing a clone conspiracy. Then in the second, the plot spreads outside the school, forcing Alex to flee from his organization. As we can see, the plot hooked us in right from the start, and we were soon left wanting for a season 3.

Alex Rider Season 3 Release Date Speculation

Alex Rider season 3 has finally been renewed after a long wait from 2021. We could not be more excited. Season 3 was announced to be renewed in August 2022, a little over a year after the 2nd season. However, the production is still in progress. 

The filming began in October 2022 and was to continue till March 2023. However, no result has been in sight till now. The show, if production ends, would be expected to release in about the summer or fall of 2024. This gives us more than enough time to rewatch the series, including both seasons. We’ll be eagerly awaiting more news regarding the same.

What To Expect From Alex Rider Season 3?

The show left its season-ending at quite an unexpected spot. There were twists and turns that we didn’t expect. But we definitely enjoyed and appreciated it. Due to several signs given by the ending and the new characters joining the fray, we can certainly predict the direction the show might be taking. 

Alex Rider season 3 will most likely represent the events of Scorpia, the fifth book in the series. In the book, Alex searches for the criminal group to discover the truth about his father’s absence. There, Alex is hired by Julia Rothman to work as an assassin for the syndicate, and she gives him the mission of killing Mrs. Jones, his previous handler.

After seeing how dangerous Scorpia is on a global scale, Alex covertly realigns himself with MI6. The show was also shot in Malta. Thus, that might be the setting of our new villain Scorpia in the series. We can certainly expect the show to be full of intrigue and mystery, which will definitely keep us entertained and wanting more.
