If you’ve seen all of the previous movies in this franchise, you’ll understand how special this new one is. The plot revolves around the four Ghostface killing survivors. They leave the past behind and travel across for a new beginning.
But we all know that’s not going to happen. When a new killer goes on a bloody rampage, the four find themselves fighting for their lives again. Let’s get into the details now.
If you’ve been anticipating the release of Scream 6, you should know that it’s almost here. Scream 6 will be released on March 10, 2023. Paramount Pictures will release it in the United States. The movie will be available in RealD 3D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema modes.
Not only that, but the upcoming movie already had its official debut on March 6, 2023, at AMC Lincoln Square Theater. The movie is a cinema exclusive, so if you want to see it, you should go to your nearest theatre.
We previously stated that this upcoming movie is special and that’s because it contains more violence than any previous Ghostface.
Ortega confirmed this and revealed that the movie’s Ghostface would be more ‘aggressive and violent’ than in previous installments.
The official statement reads, “Ghostface gets a lot more intimidating. I just read part of the script, and it just gets more and more gory. I think that this is probably the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface we’ve ever seen, which I think will really be fun to shoot.”
‘Scream’ 6 Trailer Will Make You Scream
‘This is why you go to the movies.’
What makes waiting for a horror movie more exciting is the trailer. Like that, the Scream 6 trailer is extremely frightening and gives us a preview of what is to come. Check out the official trailer below.
Barrera stated that the upcoming movie is frightening and surprising for the spectators.
“They have us so tight-lipped around here. All I can say is how it feels. I don’t wanna say the wrong word, but it feels scarier. This sixth movie feels scarier and we’re all on sets shooting some of the scenes and we’re like, ‘Oh my God, this is insane.’ I think people are gonna be surprised.
We have the same team reprising [their roles behind the scenes]. In the fifth movie, there was a lot of pressure [with it being] the first without [late director] Wes [Craven] and they were still trying to honor him.
What To Expect From Scream 6?
We anticipate a compelling story with brilliant characters fighting for their lives. And we do know one thing for sure: it will be filled with blood and horror.
According to Barrera, this movie will be a hundred times scarier, “There was a saying on set because [directors] Matt [Bettinelli-Olpin] and Tyler [Gillett] were always asking for more blood and more sweat.
They always just wanted more. ‘More blood spritz’ was the saying because they would just always want more.
With the last Scream, they were tip-toeing and trying to be very respectful of what the franchise had been, up until that point, and keeping their inner gory dreams at bay. But with this one, they were like, ‘We’re going all out.’ It’s potentially a hundred times gorier.”
She mentioned in another statement about the city that it will be aggressive, “These kids are running away, and Ghostface is still finding them in the most beautiful city but also the most terrifying because it’s so crowded and it can be aggressive.”
Cox added, “Bringing Ghostface to New York adds an entirely new element to the story. Taking the character out of a small town and putting them in the heart of the city that never sleeps is more terrifying than ever.”
