Epic Action Starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson As Hercules Is The 2nd Most-Watched Movie On Amazon Prime Video

An action epic starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and directed by Brett Ratner (“X-Men: The Last Stand”) debuted on the Amazon Prime Video catalog and was a huge hit.

The blockbuster ‘Hercules’, released in theaters in 2014, has become the 2nd most watched film of the moment in the streaming catalogue, behind the thriller ‘Explosive Conspiracy’.

Based on Steve Moore’s “Hercules: The Thracian Wars,” the film grossed $244 million worldwide on a $100 million budget.

In exile from his native Athens, Greek hero Hercules (Dwayne Johnson) agrees to work as a mercenary for the cruel and tyrannical King of Thrace and finds he is being used to form a bloody coup.

Rufus Sewell (“The Tourist”) is Autolycus, a man who managed to rob even Zeus, the Lord of Olympus. John Hurt (“Immortals”) plays the ambitious King of Thrace. Joseph Fiennes (‘Shakespeare in Love’), Ian McShane (‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’), Aksel Hennie (‘HeadHunters’) and Joe Anderson (‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’) complete the cast .
