To play singer Elvis Presley’s manager in the ‘Elvis’ biography, star Tom Hanks had to adopt a new and special look.
The famous Oscar winner was forced to shave most of his head to be bald in production. Hanks showed off his new hairstyle while appearing on The Graham Norton Show, where he even commented on how unhappy he was with the new look.

Dacre Montgomery (‘Stranger Things‘), Richard Roxburgh (‘Go!’) And Helen Thomson (‘Between Secrets and Lies’) also star in the directed production.
Montgomery will bring television director Steve Binder to life, while Roxburgh and Thomson will play Vernon and Gladys Presley, the parents of Elvis (Austin Butler).
The Presley couple are believed to be originally played by Rufus Sewell and Maggie Gyllenhaal, who ended up dropping the project due to registration delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Recalling that the biopic will follow the evolution of the King of Rock until he becomes a global icon, passing through his troubled relationship with the businessman, Colonel Tom Parker, who will be lived by Tom Hanks.
The cast also includes Olivia DeJonge (Priscilla Presley), Natasha Bassett, Xavier Samuel, Kate Mulvany, Charles Grounds, Josh McConville, Adam Dunn, Leon Ford and Gareth Davies.
“Elvis” is directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Warner Bros. is responsible for the production of the biopic.
The screenplay was written by Luhrmann and Craig Pearce, his partner in films such as “Moulin Rouge”, “Romeo + Juliet” and “The Great Gatsby”.
