It certainly cannot be said that 2022 has so far been a simple and calm year for Italians. Notably for their pockets, since this vintage will perhaps be remembered for the spasmodic increase in prices and consumption.

Inflation has been high for about a year, which has also added to the energy crisis due to the war in Ukraine. These are the main reasons for the high prices and the general increase in costs and utilities.

Many families are forced to turn to pennies, or try to save as much as possible on even daily expenses in order not to enter a total economic crisis. To help citizens in this direction, apps are appearing that are real lifesavers for everyone.

All the apps to use in times of crisis: they are real wallet savers

In practice, many people can rely on simple applications, present and downloadable on their mobile devices, to save money. However, these are not applications related to financial solutions or investments, but utilities for everyday life.

But let’s take a few examples: the Auting application is very popular for carpooling, that is to say for the temporary rental of electric cars for your own journeys. A solution to avoid spending money on fuel, parking or maintaining your own car.

On the shopping side, the TooGoodToGo application is booming. A choice that many make, that is to say, select a shop or a place that at a low price (about 1/3 of the original) can sell you everyday food scraps. An application that also covers supermarkets and high-level restaurants.

Or the Vinted app, with which to buy, sell or exchange second-hand clothes, rather than spending much higher sums on new clothes or accessories. We are talking about around 6,000 users a day in Italy who choose to take advantage of these applications and these opportunities to save on primary goods.
