A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was recorded in the province of Genoa. The epicenter is on the border between Bargagli and Davagna, eight kilometers deep. The earthquake was also clearly felt in the capital, where the Corso De Stefanis camera captured the earthquake clearly. Calls to firefighters and 112 began at 11:41 p.m. “Fortunately, there were no injuries – explains the president of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti – regarding the damage, only a few cracks in the buildings were reported.”
“We are in constant contact with civil protection while inspections are underway between Lumarzo, Torriglia and Bargagli”, concludes the governor of the Liguria Region. In the same area, in recent days, there have been other tremors distributed throughout the territory. Even then, fortunately, no damage to people or things but only a lot of fear for the citizens who took to the streets after the earthquake. In Davagna, in the case of the earthquake last night, there was a detachment of plaster from the school complex of the city. Further static checks are ongoing, but as of this morning (Wednesday 5th October) the school has been regularly reopened and classes are running as normal. However, the shock was clearly felt by the entire population.
