Over the past few weeks, Dwayne Johnson has dropped plenty of hints about Henry Cavill’s return as Superman in the future of DC’s big screen adaptations… Starting with “Black Adam.”
Sources have previously revealed that Johnson played a key role in convincing Cavill to return to his role as the Man of Steel.
And, during an interview shared by a Twitter user, the interpreter of Black Adam affirms that the former management of Warner Bros. didn’t want Cavill to return as a hero.
In his statement, the star says he’s been trying to save Cavill for about six years, but struggled because Warners had other plans for Superman…
It’s unclear what those plans would be, but indications are that the studio intended to recast the actor who would play him, since he didn’t invite Cavill when Superman appeared in “Shazam!” and ‘peacemaker’.
