Dostoevsky TV series, filming begins: plot, cast and details

The D’Innocenzo brothers started working on their first television series, Dostoevskij, made for Sky. The show will see a cast full of well-known faces on Sky, which will be led by Filippo Timi: let’s find out what to expect from the series.

Dostoevskij First Take for Sky Original Series: Cast and Details

Dostoevskij, in six episodes of which the D’Innocenzo brothers are also screenwriters, is an in-house Sky Studios production made with Paco Cinematografica. Revelation of the talents of Italian cinema in recent years thanks to the dazzling debut with La terra dell’abbinquente and the success of their subsequent projects – Favolacce, Silver Bear of the screenplay at the Berlinale, and Latin America – the D’Innocenzo brothers will shoot Dostoevskij in Rome and surroundings until the end of winter. It’s coming to Sky soon and will air on NOW in all countries where Sky operates, including the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As previously announced, Dostoevskij will star Filippo Timi (Vincere, I delitti del BarLume, Favola, The Eight Mountains) as Enzo Vitello, a brilliant detective with a painful past. On the occasion of the press conference, the rest of the cast was also unveiled: Gabriel Montesi (Favolacce, Siccità, Romulus, Christian), Carlotta Gamba (Latin America, Dante), Federico Vanni (Chiara Lubich – L’amour l trumps all, I am the abyss).

Synopsis of the series

Dostoyevsky follows the investigation of a police officer with a shattered past and an inevitable future, Enzo Vitello, who finds himself investigating the blood trail of a ruthless serial killer, nicknamed Dostoyevsky because of the letters full of gruesome details. he leaves at the crime scene. Obsessed by the killer’s words, the cop goes so far as to embark on a dangerous solitary investigation, getting closer and closer to the disturbing truth. A policeman and a murderer, both intangible, elusive, both ghosts, who proceed in the dark in the darkness of consciousness, who pursue each other but also a caress, dissecting together a solitude that absorbs and encompasses everything. Dostoyevsky follows the most complex investigation of all: is the real crime to live?
