“Dogs attack”: Jane Campion wins the award for best achievement at the Golden Globes 2022

The acclaimed drama “The Power of the Dog”, starring Benedict Cumberbatch (“Doctor Strange”), is already doing well into awards season.

At the 2022 Golden Globes, director Jane Campion continued her wave of accolades and won the statuette for best director.

Is the Oscar coming?

It should be noted that “Ataque dos Dogs” (The Power of the Dog) achieved a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. By general consensus, the film reaffirms screenwriter and director Jane Campion as one of the best filmmakers of her generation.

In addition, the performances of Kirsten Dunst, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jesse Plemons were praised by the press.

The plot follows two very wealthy brothers, Phil and George Burbank. The former is brilliant and cruel, while the latter is meticulous and kind. When George secretly marries a local widow, Phil is jealous and tries to destroy the relationship at all costs.

The film is based on the book Thomas Savage.
