Margot Robbie, the Harley Quinn of ‘The Suicide Squad’ (2021), has said that the new ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie, in which she will star, has been officially canceled by Disney.

The actress told Vanity Fair a bit about how the reboot’s plot would work: “We had an idea and we were working on it. It’s been a while. It would be something more female-centric. It was one thing. really cool, but I don’t think Disney is interested in doing it.”

The latest film in the franchise is “Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge” (2017). All feature films feature Johnny Depp as the iconic Jack Sparrow.

It should be recalled that the reboot with Margot Robbie was announced in 2020, but little progress has been made in production since then. The actress is still confirmed for a new version of ‘Men’s Eleven’, which has no release date.

Depp even commented on a comeback, but the response was far less encouraging for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ fans, because even though he received a huge financial proposal from Disney and had a desire to complete the Jack Sparrow story, he would refuse to come back. .. for “Pirates of the Caribbean 6”, even though the offer was $300 million. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer left the possibility open.
