According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Cyril Creighton (“Spotlight: Secrets Revealed”) stepped into the revival of the beloved “Dexter” series in a recurring role.
Creighton will give life to Fred Jr., owner of the Fred’s Fish & Game store he inherited from his father. He is described as a beloved handyman of the city and can be seen dancing in the local bar or singing in the choir. Fred Jr. is married to Brian, the pastor of the town’s small congregational church.
Recently, returning actor Michael C. Hall spoke about the new episodes and why he thinks it’s a good time to resume the show.
“[O revival] it will happen in real time – he spent as much time in the story as he did in real life. And, of course, we got the creative team together again. Clyde Phillips, who was the showrunner for the first four seasons, is back. And Marcos Siega, who is one of our directors. He said, “We’re going to shoot like a 10 hour movie.” “
He adds, “I always thought the timing was going to be the right time to pick up the story, and I’m very excited about it. I went backstage the other day and it’s real. Happened.”
Enjoy watching:
The cast will also include Clancy Brown (“Star Troops”), Julia Jones (“The Mandalorian”), Alano Miller (“Sylvie’s Love”), Johnny Sequoyah (“Believe”) and Jack Alcott.
It’s worth remembering that the plot of the revival will take place ten years after the events of Season 8 and will not take place in Miami, where most of the series took place.
Check out the synopsis published by The Hollywood Reporter:
“Ten years after Dexter Morgan’s disappearance in Hurricane Laura, the new episodes will accompany the character living under a new identity … Far From Miami.”
Marcos Siega will return to direct six of the ten episodes. For those who don’t know, he had already directed nine episodes in previous seasons.
The rebirth of ‘Dexter’ is set to debut in 2021.
Clyde Phillips, executive producer of the original series, will be the showrunner of the rebirth.
