Death of Mário Monjardim, voice actor of Bugs Bunny and Salsicha

Mário Monjardim Filho, Brazilian actor, voice actor and dubbing director, died at the age of 86 at his home on Friday 30. The reason for his death has not been revealed. The news was given by O Globo.

Monjardim was known to have lent his voice to Bugs Bunny in “Looney Tunes” and to Shaggy in “Scooby-Doo”. Father of Julio Monjardim.

He participated in the series “Carga Pesada” and in the comedy programs “Chico Anysio Show” and “Os Trapalhões”, both 3 in the 1980s.

He began dubbing with Herbert Richers in 1958, when he had just arrived in Rio de Janeiro.
