Good news for those who have seen the bill hit the stars: the gas bonus is coming for those who meet the requirements

Finally, a way has arrived to save on bills which is a big concern among Italians, as well as an extremely current issue that we are working on. Here’s how.

The increase in the price of electricity and gas bills has become the main topic of discussion, as well as a source of great concern for Italians, from families to activities that have seen frightening bills arrive. Already a year ago, the 5% increase had raised Asso Lombarda on the issue, this year, then, there was a 700% increase in the price, which forced them to pay a premium on the invoices.

Being able to pay your bills at a lower cost will finally be possible, even if it is not for everyone. It is indeed a regional law voted on August 23, 2022 by the Basilicata Region which provides for a non-refundable subsidy for the supply of free gas. It goes without saying that only the cost of the raw material is free, but this does not provide for the elimination of the costs linked to transport costs and taxes.

Will the gas bonus be extended to all of Italy?

Many believed that the Basilicata Region could show the way and give impetus to the other Regions of Italy, if not to the central government itself. However, so far there is no news about similar decisions, so it will be the only Basilicata to provide this type of service. As an estimate, according to some sources, the reset of the cost of the raw material would bring the bill down by 50% and therefore halved. Not an easy task if we consider the prices hitherto noted on the invoices of the Italians.

To have this type of advantage, for those who reside in Basilicata, it will be enough to submit the request this week by accessing the Region’s website with SPID through a gas supply contract, to which a PDR is registered, as well as point discharge for family consumption and for the domestic use of the first household.
