In view of a cold winter and above all full of fear of expensive bills, a solution is coming that could be useful to you
The Italians are already shaking. Not so much for the first waves of cold and bad weather that cross the peninsula in these hours, but for the terror of receiving exemplary blows from the point of view of expensive bills.

Indeed, energy bills have for several months been a kind of Damocles sword on the heads of families and businesses. Although good news is coming from the European Union regarding natural gas supply, costs will fluctuate considerably.
While waiting for the definitive ignition of the heating, a less expensive solution appears which could be useful to many citizens. Especially for those who want to heat themselves or their rooms, without consuming too much energy in view of the high bills.
The economical solution for winter: lower bills thanks to electric blankets
Such a solution could be represented by the so-called electric blankets. These are special covers with a mechanism inside which, connected to electricity, allows you to heat it. An electric blanket can be used on your body, maybe when we are relaxing on the sofa, or as an underblanket by placing it on the mattress to make it warmer and more comfortable. It has often been thought that plugging in blankets could be a high energy drain and a direct increase on your electricity bills. Instead, the myth must be dispelled: the consumption of this instrument for heating is decidedly low and below average.
On average, a single electric blanket has a consumption of 0.05-0.06 kW per hour, which doubles to 0.10-0.12 kW for a double model.
Considering today’s energy costs, which are around 0.54 cents/hour, an electric blanket consumes around 0.03 cents/hour and a double bed 0.06 cents/hour. Assuming two hours of use per day, during the coldest hours, the monthly cost would be between €2 and €3.50.
Nothing to do with the consumption of electric heaters or air conditioners, which respectively consume 1€ or 0.50 cents per hour.
