In an interview with ComicBook.com, director Darren Lynn Bousman, who will be tasked with reinventing the iconic “ Death Games ” franchise, “ Spiral, ” and who previously said he would never consider returning in this complex horror universe, revealed that it doesn’t rule out the possibility of new footage if Lionsgate is interested.
“Ten years ago I would have said I would never come back, and I think you can find maybe thousands of interviews where I say that. But now, at 41, it’s a strange nostalgia that has me coming back. Now if they call me up and say ‘hey, we’re doing a sequel’, there’s no question. I would be on a flight to come back again ”.
Before arriving in US theaters on May 21, it was scheduled to premiere a week and the film now arrives on May 14.
