Dead to Me, also known as Dead Friends, has just arrived in its third season on Netflix. The series, as the title suggests, is about two friends and their relationship. Jen Harding (Christina Applegate) meets Judy Hale (Linda Cardellini) in a mourning group after losing her husband in a car accident.

A friendship develops between the two, so much so that Jen decides to host Judy in her own house, where she lives with her children. Soon, however, she realizes that her new friend with such a sweet and loving appearance actually has some strange attitudes.

At the end of season 1, Jen learns Judy’s terrible secret: she and her ex-boyfriend Steve (James Marsden) were in the same car that killed her husband. Upset, she decides to fire the woman from the house, who soon falls into a bad circle of drug dealers. The two seem destined to never see each other again, but during the final episode, Jen tells him to come back. When he arrives, he finds Jen in front of Steve’s corpse.

The second season of Dead to Me begins with Jen and Judy deciding not to call the police and doing everything they can to make sure no one suspects Steve’s death. They hide the body in the freezer and Jen confesses that she lost her temper and killed him after he insulted her and her husband.

The chosen hiding place for the body soon proves ineffective and the two must find a new one. Following the suggestion of a friend of her son, a probably sociopathic girl, Jen decides to hide him in the woods. In the meantime, however, he discovers that Steve had an identical twin brother, Ben, who is looking for him.

Jen and Ben begin to develop a strange bond (there’s even a kiss), while the police find Ben’s car. Jen eventually confesses the crime to Detective Perez, but once they get to the woods, the body is missing, so the detective decides to cover for her. In the Season 2 finale, Ben learns of his twin’s death and, while driving drunk, crashes into the car carrying Jen and Judy. What will happen now?
