‘Cyberpunk: Expendables’: Netflix Anime Gets an OFFICIAL Premiere Date!



Netflix has revealed that “Cyberpunk: Expendables”, an animation based on the popular game “Cyberpunk 2077”, finally has a release date.

The production hits the streaming platform on September 13.

The plot follows a young man trying to survive in a city of the future, full of technologies and body modifications. With everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner – an outlaw mercenary also known as a cyberpunk.

CD PROJEKT RED, the company behind the game, will produce the series – which will feature a creative team made up of talent from ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’.

The anime series has been in development since 2018 and will feature ten episodes.

Acclaimed Japanese animation company Studio Trigger will animate the series and bring the Cyberpunk world to life with its vibrant visuals.

‘Cyberpunk 2077’ is an Action Role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. Released in 2020, the game’s story takes place in Night City, an open world with six distinct regions set in the Cyberpunk franchise universe. It is played in first-person, with players controlling a customizable mercenary called V, who can acquire hacking and machinery skills, an arsenal of ranged weapons, and melee-style combat options.
