‘Cuphead’: A Series Based On A Classic Game CONFIRMED its premiere for 2022

Netflix has confirmed that the animated series “Cuphead – The Series”, a production based on the classic “Cuphead” game franchise, will be released in 2022.

The new series will expand Cuphead’s universe, with an animation style inspired by classic 1930s cartoons, created by Fleischer Studio.

The series revolves around the main character and his brother Mugman. Game creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer enter as executive producers.

Released by MDHR Studios, ‘Cuphead’ brings into its narrative the two aforementioned protagonists and other demons and robots with an aesthetic reminiscent of the 1930s. The unique art style was one of the main elements acclaimed by specialist critics and, therefore, it is expected to be incorporated into the serial adaptation.

The production will follow the singular misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily influenced brother Mugman. Despite the many surreal dangers on the Inkwell Islands, they still protect themselves.
