Cobra Kai: Jacob Bertrand comments on Eli’s transformation into Falcon

Published

on

In the early episodes of ‘Cobra Kai’, Eli Moskowitz (Jacob Bertrand) was bullied due to his shyness and cleft lip, until he decided to join Johnny Lawrence’s academy (William Zabka).

Over the course of the episodes, he adopts a radical physical and psychological transformation, calling himself a hawk and becoming like the bullies who irritated him.

However, he still shows conflicts regarding his own personality.

During an interview for TV Line, Bertrand pondered the issue and said he was concerned audiences might tie his personal image to the character’s actions:

“I told the writers that it might be a bit forced to make Falcão as cruel as him, maybe people would think that was overkill. But when I watched the whole season, I realized it was working really well. I was even afraid people would think I was like Falcão.

Enjoy watching:

The 20-year-old star also said he understands what’s going on in the fighter’s mind, but doesn’t approve of his overconfidence.

“I understand all the adrenaline rushing through his veins because he felt like no one, he was insecure and ignored. After learning Karate, he builds self-confidence overnight. The problem is, it got to his head. He doesn’t know what to do with all of this power suddenly, so he loses control.

He continued:

“It was inevitable to become a tyrant, and the sad part is that he became what he hated the most. Kreese (Martin Kove) is the true champion of these attitudes. ”

Finally, he joked about the Mohawk look and revealed that the team used a spray can whenever they prepped their hair.

“I think the Mohawk hairstyle is what scares her the most, it was very radical. When others see him, they already imagine he’s tough. Nobody imagines that Falcão drops a spray can backstage. ”

Recalling that the 3rd season of ‘Cobra Kai’ is now available on Netflix.

The new cycle will deepen the consequences of the accident suffered by Miguel, bringing Johnny Lawrence back to his role of mentor of the young karateka, while helping him to resume his steps.

Daniel-San, meanwhile, will face a major identity crisis due to the chaotic consequences of his decision to return to karate, which ends up alienating him from his family and also from the company itself.

Check out the trailer:

COBRA KAI takes place 30 years after the 1984 All Valley tournament, with the inevitable conflict between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) continuing.

In season three, they are all stunned after the violent brawl between the two dojos at school, which left Miguel seriously injured. As Daniel revisits the past for answers and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his ideas of domination. The soul of the valley is at stake, as is the fate of all students and all peoples.

Along with Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, the cast includes Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser and Jacob Bertrand.

So what do you think you have in store for the new episodes?

During an interview for the comic book, William Zabka was asked the same question.

In response, Johnny Lawrence’s interpreter said:

“The end of season 2 was like a car crash in which we were all injured, bar none. There are a lot of parts to put together and heal wounds. I’ve heard of some fan theories and some of them are good, but they don’t even come close to what’s to come. Good attempts. I define season 3 as a fireworks show or explosion, but is it good or bad? I think it incorporates the best of the first two.

He also made a mystery about the possible return of Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue) by commenting on the season 2 finale scene:

“Well what I can tell you is nothing is what it seems. We have seen that Johnny still regrets his breakup with Ali and it is a great piece that was missing and missing in his life. She’s the love that escaped and he’d kinda like to reconnect [com ela]. But the series is full of surprises.

Finally, he commented on the renewal of the series for the 4th season.

“It was amazing recording the new episodes and I can’t wait to see the fan reaction. We expected it to be released sooner too, but the world is a mess… What matters is that we are happy to continue working with Netflix. We already have another guaranteed season and it’s a sign that the public is supporting us, I never imagined that would happen. I am very grateful to bring Johnny to life.
