The traditional film festival focused on football fans is back! The Cineclub Cinefoot 2021 starts today (18th) and runs until March 30. Due to the pandemic, again, we will not have movie theaters showing movies, entertainment and talk. Aiming at the safety of the public, who also cannot make it to the stadiums, the attraction is now fully online.
“50 years of the trio” will delight fans of the national team.
This year’s program consists of twelve special sessions and also includes a debate grid to discuss the topics covered in the productions. Speaking of them, there will be documentaries on football on the pitch, but controversial themes will also be explored, like homophobia, which is covered in A Camisa Proibida, a film that goes in depth to understand why we don’t. let’s not see any Brazilian players wearing jersey number 24. The 50th anniversary of the Brazilian team’s triple world championship completed in 2020 wins a very special short film called 50 years of the trio. In this same segment, the life of controversial – and politicized – technician / commentator, João Saldanha, is recounted in the documentary of the same name.
The document “A Camisa Proibida” launches into an incredible debate on homophobia in sport.
Another big highlight is Neymar’s short film A Culpa. Starring former BBB and actor Babu Santana, the production tells the story of Jair (Babu), a fanatic Botafogo fan who finds out that his son, Túlio, is a Neymar fan and has decided to support Santos. It’s a funny story about the conflict between generations of parents and children, and the fans themselves, who have completely different experiences and realities.
All sessions will remain available for free on the exclusive CINECLUBE CINEFOOT platform for a week after the premiere and will have accessibility features: audio description and descriptive captions. The debates will have a translation and interpretation in LIBRAS and will focus on audiovisual production with a focus on clubs, the female presence in directing and the panorama of LGBTQIA + production in the scenario of the making of football films.
