‘Chhorii’: Amazon Prime’s Indian terror to have a sequel

According to Deadline, an Indian horror sequel “Chhorii” is in development, slated for release in 2022.

Launched over Thanksgiving weekend on the online platform, the site claims the terror worked well on the streaming service.

Plot details for the sequel were not disclosed.

Directed by Vishal Furia, the production is a remake of the horror Lapachhapi.

The plot follows the journey of Sakshi and her partner as they are forced to flee the city and seek refuge in a haunted house. Soon the couple realize that the shelter they thought was a haven from danger is actually the site of a looming supernatural force. Now the woman, eight months pregnant, must fight to save the life of her child from the spirits who want to take it away.
