After the Netfix series ended, Charlie Cox became Daredevil again in a quick cameo in “Spider-Man: No Return Home,” after which he had a sensational turnout in “She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes,” and very soon he should reappear in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, the character’s solo series in the MCU.
However, for this to happen, the actor confessed that it was only possible through a fan-made campaign. In an interview with the Marvel Studios portal, Cox talked about some trivia about his return as Matt Murdock.
“I wanted to say a lot of things. Whatever happens to my career from now on, I owe it to the Save Daredevil campaign. Because even when I lost hope years ago, they didn’t and kept campaigning and supporting. And over the years, I’ve met a lot of them, and it’s such an enthusiastic and passionate audience.”
“Daredevil is such an amazing character. It was the great honor of my career to be offered this role and to be able to play it,” Cox said.
Which continues: “I got the call from Kevin Feige in 2020. We were in the middle of the pandemic and everyone was in lockdown. My wife and I went for a walk with our kids and when I came back I saw there was a voicemail message from the person who works as Kevin’s assistant. [Feige], who said, “The speaker is Kevin Feige’s assistant. Could you contact us again?” Then my wife freaked out and I immediately called the number and they put us through to Kevin. We talked quickly about what the world was like back then and everything.

“To be invited back and do it again is almost like a dream. It sounds too good to be true. I am so excited about the future. I can’t wait to be on the first day set of the new show. I’m already starting to train.”
Recalling that the title ‘Daredevil: Reborn’ refers to the comics, in a narrative arc in which the hero and the Kingpin face off in one of Marvel’s darkest clashes.

Previously, when the series returned after Netflix’s cancellation, Cox said, “I’m a huge fan of everything Marvel has done, and I wouldn’t underestimate them. If they want to do a less violence of ‘Daredevil’, I will support them. Maybe there will be less blood, but I will be on their side in their decision.
The series ran for three seasons with a total of 39 episodes until its cancellation, along with the other Marvel series on Netflix. Recently, all of them entered the Disney+ catalog in the United States.
