It was recently confirmed that the script for “Habit Change 3” will be written by Madhuri Shekar, known for his work on the “Welcome to the Blumhouse” anthology “Mau-Olhado”.
The director will be Tim Federle, responsible for ‘High School Musical: The Musical: A Series’.
And, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, producer Tyler Perry confirmed that Shekar was already working on drafts for the project.
“The screenplay is already being written and I joined it as a producer. We brought in an amazing director [Federle] and whoopi [Goldberg]is very excited to start recording. I think this is exactly what the country needs. We need that feel-good moment in movies where you say, ‘Oh my God, I came out of there singing’. This is my hope.
Sadly, Perry hasn’t given any details about the plot of the new film, which is yet to be released.
It should be remembered that Kathy Najimy, interpreter of Sister Mary Patrick, told Sirius XM Radio that she can also participate in the feature film.

“Whoopi is trying to make that happen. I love her, you know? It’s a victory for me. He’s one of those characters that I don’t need to worry about hairstyle or makeup, I just need comfortable shoes.
For those who don’t remember, the original featured Goldberg as Deloris Van Cartier, a singer who ends up being sent to a convent after being placed in a witness protection program. Throughout the film, she manages to infect the entire group of nuns with her relaxed personality, in addition to bringing more harmony, happiness, and turmoil into the sisters’ lives.
A few months ago, the star indicated that the new film would not be a direct continuation of the sequel released in 1993, but a revival of the original, directed by Emile Ardolino in 1992.
