Cannibal mutant attack in ‘The Lair’ footage, new horror from ‘Abyss of Fear’ director

Collider has released new stills from “The Lair,” director Neil Marshall’s upcoming film (“Abyss of Fear”), which will feature cannibalistic alien hybrids.

“This film really captures the style and intensity of my early films, not to mention the violence and gory scenes,” Marshall said. “I think horror and action fans will have a great time.”

In the plot…

“Sergeant Tom Hook is tasked with leading a team to find Lieutenant Kate Sinclair, a Royal Air Force fighter pilot shot down in Afghanistan. Sinclair, pursued by insurgents, finds refuge in a long-abandoned secret shelter and unwittingly releases a deadly bio-weapon – part human, part alien, and hungry for human flesh. Hook and his team, along with a handful of British soldiers, must save Sinclair from insurgents and, more importantly, cannibalistic hybrids before they overrun the region and potentially the world.

The cast will include Jonathan Howard, Charlotte Kirk, Jamie Bamber, Leon Ockenden, Mark Strepan, Hadi Khanjanpour, Harry Taurasi, Kibong Tanji and Troy Alexander.

Horror will be released on VOD on October 28.
