The child who was abducted by his father last night after a protected encounter with social workers is safe and sound. After a turbulent night, during which the carabinieri tried to convince him to release the child, the four-year-old came out of the house into his mother’s arms.

The 35-year-old man, according to investigators, had previously attacked his ex-wife and also the woman’s lawyer in the past, over issues relating to her son.
The four-year-old boy was reportedly entrusted to his mother by the courts due to “violent behavior” on the part of his father. The carabinieri, the anti-terrorist unit, a non-commissioned officer negotiating the weapon arrived on the spot and the chief prosecutor of the Brescia public prosecutor’s office Francesco Prete also arrived this morning.
