According to Deadline, Ariana Greenblatt (“Monstrous Problems”) has joined the cast of the adaptation of “Borderlands”, which will be directed by Eli Roth.

The cast will also include Jack Black (Claptrap), Cate Blanchett (Lilith), Kevin Hart (Roland) and Jamie Lee Curtis (Dr Patricia Tannis).
The original franchise revolves around a group of “Safe Hunters” searching for an alien hiding place on the planet Pandora, which blends well with Roth’s previous work.

Recalling that the screenplay is written by Craig Mazin (creator of the drama “Chernobyl”).
“I’m excited to dive into the world of ‘Borderlands’, and I couldn’t do it with a better screenplay, a better producer and a studio. I have a long and very successful history with Lionsgate – I feel like we grew up together and everything in my career peaked at that point, ”Mazin said.
The game saga launched in 2009 and featured three sequences: “Borderlands 2” (2012), “Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel” (2014) and “Borderlands 3” (2019). The original tale takes place in the distant future, at a time when several mega-corporations seek to control as many planets as possible, colonize them, and explore their abundance of natural resources and minerals.
