Dave Filoni is the co-creator of several attractions from the ‘Star Wars’ saga, such as ‘The Clone Wars’ and ‘Rebels’ animations, as well as the upcoming ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ series.
Because of this, the filmmaker has extensive knowledge of the franchise, which surprised actress Jennifer Beals (‘Taken’), who made an appearance as Alien Twi’lek.
During an interview with Variety, Beals said that whenever she needed to ask questions about her character, she would rather consult Filoni than research the internet.
“My character is a Twi’lek. And I had to remember who they are, where they come from, if they’re peaceful, warriors… And Dave Filoni is just extraordinary. It’s like a walking encyclopedia. I could search the Internet, but preferred to go straight to the source.
She continued:
“I would meet Dave and we would talk for hours about the character, how she was different from the lineage that came before her, what shaped her experiences and how it all changes her looks, her demeanor and even her clothes. . I took a real course in the anthropological history of fictitious races and species.
