Nate Moore, producer of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, in an interview with Gizmodo, compared Riri Williams to Killmonger, in terms of how the character views the place she lives.

“It was important to present it. He is a character who has suffered a few losses along the way. We love the idea of her as an African American woman who came to see Wakanda,” Moore said.

Which continued, “She’s very different from Killmonger, but there’s a similarity in the feeling that something could have been lost.”

“We also like the idea of having a woman who is potentially as smart as Shuri, but she had a different experience with her intelligence. It all made her an essential part of the film.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the sequel opens November 10 and also stars Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Danai Gurira and Michaela Coel.
